Sauna and Wellness
Sauna is deeply restorative for most people, supporting circulation, relaxation and nervous system regulation. We encourage guests to listen to their bodies, hydrate well, and take breaks as needed. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or feel unsure, please speak to your GP before attending.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Is this suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Many of our guests are new to sauna. There’s no right way to do it, move between heat and cold at your own pace, hydrate, take breaks whenever you need, and simply listen to your body.
How hot is the sauna?
Our wood-fired sauna usually sits between 70–90°C. The heat is dry and gentle, and you’re always in control of how long you stay inside.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. Community sessions are very welcoming for solo visitors, and many people come alone to enjoy the stillness and quiet time.
What about medical conditions?
Sauna is restorative for most people, but if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or feel unsure, we recommend speaking to your GP before attending. On the day, always listen to your body and step out if anything doesn’t feel right.
Is it safe in winter?
Yes -winter sauna can be especially grounding and refreshing. We provide wetsuit boots to help you enter the loch safely, and the cold is always optional. You’re welcome to stay dry or use the plunge pool instead.
Rooted in Nature.
Designed for 8 - 10 people, the wood-fired sauna is a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and embrace the elements. Here, the rhythm of heat, cold, and recovery follows the natural cycles that have existed for generations.
Who We Are.
WildEmber is held by someone with deep roots in eco-therapy and place based therapy, paddlesport coaching, and group facilitation. These experiences quietly shape how we hold this space, but the sauna itself asks very little of you. Come as you are.
